Welcome to my blog titled 'My Dunedin'. The decision to live a blogged lifestyle hasn't come because I think I am particularly interesting, nor because I think I have anything important to say. Really its a way for me to showcase my Dunedin to friends who are both here, and abroad, and also it will act as a collection of thoughts and experiences for myself.
Also, I think there are so many amazing things about Dunedin outside of the 'scarfiness' that a lot of us use to define our (often short-lived) days in this student-filled city. The ways in which many of us define Dunedin usually have something to do with our alcohol fuelled, rioting, days of yesteryear. (Think the cook-a-thon, the rugby, the hall competitions, the Selwyn ballet, the willowbank dairy, the Hyde street keg party, the Undie 5 hundy...oh the nostalgia)
Whlie I definately accept those aspects of Dunedin as a part of my time here, I also want to look at that other side of Dunedin, the side that not many of us take the time to get to see. The side of which is buzzing with local creative talents, the place filled with secret shops, and hidden away coves and treasures. The places, and things which are slowly becoming a part of my Dunedin of today, and hopefully will become a part of yours.
I will try and keep this updated, but I am very useless, and also very technically unaware so I will try my best, and see how I go..
